The North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport will participate in the 5th annual Big Toy Day presented by Communities in Schools. The event will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 11am-3pm at the Cape Fear Regional Jetport in Oak Island.

Meet the people who drive the tractor trailers, operate the bulldozers, and fly the Army helicopters. Sit in a real sports car! Climb behind the wheel of a fire engine! Operate a police car siren!

Check out Coast Guard, police, and utility vehicles. Free Young Eagle flights for kids 8-17 offered by EAA Chapter 939. Camel and pony rides, souvenirs, and refreshments available for a nominal charge. Free face painting and petting zoo.

Admission is $5 (5 and under free) with proceeds benefiting Communities in Schools.
