Traveling Resource Trunkstraveling trunk pirate

Bring North Carolina Maritime Museum to you!  This exciting series of traveling resource trunks are available to teachers, youth group leaders, museums, libraries, and any formal North Carolina group looking for a fun and educational way to explore our state's rich maritime heritage of North Carolina with others.  Each trunk focuses on a specific topic of North Carolina Maritime heritage and contains reproductions, hands-on activities, a teaching manual, photos and other resources.  We currently have two trunks in circulation; “North Carolina Pirates” & “Fish & Fishing in North Carolina”.

Trunks can be reserved for up to a two-week period. Reservations begin and end on a Friday.  They will be shipped out on Friday, or borrowers can make arrangements to pick them up at their convenience at the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort.

Trunks are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and some trunk calendars fill up quickly.  We recommend making your reservation early when at all possible.  Your order will not be final until you receive an e-mail or written confirmation.

Please contact Christine Brin, School & Group Coordinator, to reserve your traveling trunk.
